Our Office
A brightly lit office in the Callowhill neighborhood in Philadelphia
Azavea is headquartered on the 5th floor of a historic factory in Philadelphia’s Callowhill neighborhood. From the windows, we have sweeping views of Center City Philadelphia and the Rail Park, which wraps around our building. Our location is easily accessed via public transit and bicycle communiting for those that live in the city. The open office layout has a variety of work spaces that enable our staff to get a change of view or some extra privacy to focus on a complex problem.
Employee-run committees make improvements to our space, such as the plants and artwork throughout the office.
Azavea staff organize technical and design staff meetings on alternating Fridays, where anyone can share their expertise.
From robot races, to book clubs, to our annual Azavea Thanksgiving Potluck, these spaces enable our staff to spend time together having fun.
Sometimes people need a break; we provide an activity room with a variety of equipment, and stock our kitchen with coffee, tea, snacks and industry journals and news publications.
We recognize that open office layouts have pros and cons. A variety of private spaces enable staff to concentrate without interruption.
